Ginger Somogie Morris – Has been teaching dance in New York State for 22 years. MS. Morris is founder, director and choreographer of Ginger's Dance to Fit and The Malta Ballet Company. She began her classical ballet, tap and jazz training at the age of 5 under the direction of Virginia Dale Capron, former member of the American Ballet Theater. Ms. Ginger has also studied under Dorothy Buck Snyder, from the Joffrey Ballet , New York City; Maureen Abbazzia, Royal Academy of Dance, London ; Irene Lander, American Ballet Theater , New York City; and also Leon Fokine, International Ballet Master. Ms. Ginger was a member of the Connecticut Ballet Company where she performed numerous solo roles in such ballet as “The Nutcracker,” “Firebird,” “Coppelia,” “The Jewel Ballet” and “The Masquerade Suite”. She was accepted into the School of American Ballet , The official school of New York City Ballet for a summer program. Later she was accepted into a traveling dance troupe who toured many cities, including Ceasar's Palace in Las Vegas and Atlantic City . Ms. Ginger also has trained and taught ballroom dancing at Arthur Murray's in Fairfield Connecticut.She is a certified Power Pilates and Aerobics instructor. Hip-No-Cize is her own trademark and she has designed it to dance away inches, help coordination, have fun and stay physically fit at any age or size. |
